Justin Carpenter - Battery Manager
Born and raised in Altadena, California, Justin Carpenter began his marching career at age 12 at Marshall Fundamental High School. With no instructional staff for half of high school, he assumed the instructional position and helped keep the school’s percussion program alive. Upon graduating, he further pursued his marching career with SoCal Dream Drum and Bugle Corps, Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps, Riverside Community College, Orange County Independent Percussion and spent the remainder of his marching career at Broken City.
With the instructional influences of Mike Jackson, Kevin Shah, Roger Carter, Veronica Wicks, Jonathan Wicks and Suvin Varghese, Justin has served as an educator and composer for the marching arts for numerous scholastic and independent ensembles across Southern California: Marshall Fundamental High School, Kaiser High School, Etiwanda High School, Chino High School and is currently the program coordinator for Bonita High School. He has also worked with Gold Drum and Bugle Corps, Shadow Drum and Bugle Corps and is currently the Tenor Technician for Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps.
Justin’s outside life includes attending Pasadena City College where he is pursuing his undergraduate degree in Criminal Law in order to land a career in Homeland Security in hopes to protect and serve his country. He is proudly involved with the Education Teams for Vic Firth, Zildjian and Rudimental Mindset.
